Mexican freediver Alejandro Lemus set a new CMAS world record for variable weight diving – VWT – during a dive conducted on 24 January 2020.

A record attempt in freshwater diving with variable weight – VWT – was carried out in one of Mexico’s cenotes on the Yucatan Peninsula. By diving to a depth of 94m, Lemus broke the previous record of 82m, which… he had set the day before.
