Air Malta, the national airline operator in Malta, has introduced a very interesting promotion for divers.

Until now, athletes travelling on Air Malta could purchase a voucher to transport their equipment for €20 per piece of luggage. The voucher had to be ordered at least 24 hours before departure. Golf, skiing, archery, diving and cricket, among others, are included in this promotion.

Now, however, airlines have gone a step further and completely exempted the carriage of diving equipment from all charges. Divers do not need to buy or print any voucher. To be exempted from the fee, all they need to do is show their diving equipment at the airport. The promotion is valid in February and March.

Unfortunately, in Poland Air Malta offers flights only from Warsaw.

What do you think about such promotions? Would such discounts convince you to travel to these regions? Write in the comments under the article.

Malta is a great place for a diving trip. Very diverse in terms of diving sites and level of difficulty. You can read more about diving in Malta in Carollina Wells’ article, which we published in issue 17. DIVERS24 quarterly! The digital version of the magazine is available free of charge, while the printed version can be purchased from our webshop.
