Krzysztof Starnawski will dive to 300m today?

The moment has come to return to the Matka Vrelo cave. When you read this text, Krzysztof Starnawski should be just heading to the deepest part of the Macedonian cave. The dive is a continuation of a project in which last year we managed to reach corridors located at a depth of 230 metres.

Over the past few days, the team located the habitat and checked the handrails leading to a depth of 200 metres. On his Facebook profile, Starnawski kept up-to-date on the progress and… problems with the equipment, which required various repairs.

The assumptions before today’s dive were to reach the part of the cave located at a depth of 250-270 meters. Officially. There is no shortage of internet speculation suggesting that the dive may end at around 300 metres depth!
