3 City Diving Day - Open Diving Day

For the third time already, the Trzeba Marzyć Foundation is organising an open diving day, during which you will be able to dive in the beautiful waters of the Baltic Sea and support the fulfilment of dreams of seriously ill children, wards of the Foundation. I would like to ask you for help in publicising this initiative. The third edition of the event called “3City Diving – Dive with your dreams” is a continuation of the event which in previous years attracted many people who wanted to try the amazing sport of diving.

The Trzeba Marzyć Foundation has been fulfilling the dreams of seriously ill children for over ten years. So far, it has allowed many of its charges to forget for a moment about the difficulties of struggling with the disease. More children are still waiting to believe that dreams really do come true. It was founded in September 2006 and has since fulfilled over 650 dreams. Among them were children dreaming of a battery-powered car or a laptop, boys dreaming of being a soldier or a policeman, and girls wanting to be a princess. All these dreams come true thanks to people of good will and institutions whose representatives join in the magical power of making dreams come true. The Foundation does not employ any staff, and all the money it raises goes towards making the dreams of seriously ill children come true.

Currently, together with a group of divers from Gdynia, the company is organising, for the third time, an “open diving day” aimed at enabling people who do not have such an opportunity on a daily basis to go on an underwater trip under the supervision of a qualified instructor. This year, the event will also be accompanied by Sidemount Configuration Demo Days.

Place of action, deadline and main objectives

As a resident of Gdynia, fascinated by the beauty of the Baltic Sea, I often take underwater trips, photographing and filming the underwater world. I get a lot of questions from friends and acquaintances looking at my photos and videos on how to experience such adventures. Hence the idea for such an event[/blockquote].

An open diving day under the slogan “Dive with your dreams” will be organised in Gdynia Orłowo, near the beach bordering the fishing harbour, on Sunday 25 June. Qualified and experienced diving instructors have been invited to participate in the event, and they will supervise the entire event and accompany those willing to embark on an underwater adventure. Participation requires prior registration, and appropriate diving equipment, diving suits and a place to change clothes will be waiting for all those willing to participate.

The event will have a non-commercial character, and all payments from participants (the minimum fee for diving is 50 PLN) will be earmarked for fulfilling dreams of seriously ill children, who are the Foundation’s charges.

This action is also an interesting way to promote our Agglomeration, the beauty of the Gulf of Gdansk, in particular the most charming part of Orłowo, planned to be the first underwater nature reserve in Poland, favourable social activities and physical activity, and inextricably linked to the sea and travel.

Conditions for participation

In order to take part in the intro, you had to send your application to 3citydiving@gmail.com giving your name, surname, age, weight and height. After receiving the confirmation, a donation amount had to be paid to the Foundation’s account. The set amount was 50 PLN, but every single zloty will go towards fulfilling the dreams of seriously ill children, so of course you could pay more.

The minimum age is 15 years (parental consent will be required for minors). All diving equipment is provided by the organisers.
