A new dive computer has made its debut on the market – the Scubapro Aladin A2. Compact, comfortable and above all robust, it offers a range of functions that are sure to satisfy the demanding advanced user.

The computer is dedicated to advanced recreational and technical divers, as well as freedivers, who appreciate the small size of measuring devices, allowing them to be used every day as, for example, a watch, but at the same time require that the “inside” of the unit represents an appropriately high level.

Despite its small size, the modern display provides clear readings

The Aladin A2 offers everything an advanced recreational diver can expect, as well as everything a technical diver will need. The wireless gas data integration function monitors cylinder pressure and indicates the actual remaining dive time. A digital compass is increasingly standard on modern computers and you’ll find it here too. It is tilt-compensated and provides easy navigation underwater and on the surface.

Scubapro’s new computer allows the user to choose from six dive modes. In addition to what we would call recreational modes, there are also technical modes in the form of Trimix and CCR.

Aladin A2 will also work well during other activities

Although it may seem that since we are dealing with a watch computer and the indications may not be very legible, the high-resolution hybrid display of Matrix type with large digits, guarantees easy reading of data under water even in difficult conditions. The device is equipped with 4 buttons, with the help of which we can easily navigate a very intuitive menu.

An interesting fact is that the computer was created in accordance with the concept of Human Factor Diving, and therefore its calculations take into account the diver’s biometric data. Certainly, such functionality will appeal to those users who like to have everything under control at all times.

If we talk about non-diving functions, these are, of course, the standard time measurement and the so-called sports mode, which can certainly prove extremely attractive to those who lead an active lifestyle and for whom diving is not the only form of sporting activity.

Partial technical specification

  • Available Diving Modes: Scuba, Gauge, Apnea, Trimix, Sidemount, CCR
  • Maximum working depth: 120 m
  • Digital tilt-compensated 3D compass for easy navigation
  • The PMG ZH-L16 ADT MB predictive multigas algorithm can calculate for 8 gases (21-100% O2) & 2 in CCR mode
  • To maximise diver safety, the PDIS (Profile Dependent Intermediate Stops) function calculates deep intermediate stops based on nitrogen saturation (N2), current and previous dives, and breathing mixtures
  • Selecting the Micro-bubble level allows you to specify the degree of conservatism of the algorithm’s calculations in order to match the dive profile to the diver’s level, age and physical condition
  • Wireless gas data integration technology supports multiple transmitters
  • The wireless gas data integration function monitors the gas pressure in the cylinder and, based on the calculated effort from breathing, indicates the actual remaining time at the bottom (RBT)
  • The heart rate monitor (HRM) records heart rate and skin temperature (only with SCUBAPRO HRM belt). This data can be included in decompression and effort data calculations
  • CR2450 battery; estimated 2 years or 300 dives
  • Bluetooth Low Energy interface allows dive data to be downloaded to any iOS, Android or PC/Mac device.
  • Sport mode offers sports-related functions, such as a swimming step counter, pedometer and stopwatch

Price: 2360 PLN or 3650 PLN – version with transmitter
