The Ołowianka Marine Adventure Club started its activities in 2010. The idea of the whole undertaking and the project itself originated in the minds of several diving enthusiasts, who were particularly fond of exploring wrecks. As residents of Gdansk, they were looking for a way to create a diver-friendly place, providing high standards and comprehensive service, where they could devote themselves to their hobby – diving.

Like every plan, this one also had to start from scratch. The building that was chosen as the headquarters needed a solid renovation. It was not an easy task, but enthusiasm and determination made it possible to complete it successfully. Today, the results of this hard work are proudly displayed by the hosts of Ołowianka to their guests.

They offer, among others, a conference room with a capacity of 100 people, which is ideal for all kinds of lectures and presentations, after which we can move to a climatic bar room for a meal and conversation in an intimate group. Accommodation is available on site, even for large groups of 20 people. The proverbial cherry on top is the private marina, where diving boats are moored – at the full disposal of the guests, of course.

With the passing of time and more experience in the ranks of Ołowianka, it was decided to focus on the organisation of diving expeditions to further and closer corners of the Baltic and neighbouring seas. We have started cooperation with a wonderful and newly refurbished vessel M/Y Safira, which can take a large group of divers on wreck expeditions lasting several days. This is probably the most comfortable floating diving base on the Polish coast – 32 metres of deck adapted to diving needs. In the hold under the deck of the Saphira there is a compressor room, which is able to supply the members of an 18-person expedition with all possible gases.

This year with Olowianka you could already visit Bornholm. However, a series of dives in Bergen is still planned. The whole trip is planned for July and August. On this occasion, further improvements, such as a diving lift, are being installed at Safira. Continuous development and further investments significantly raise the standards offered by the Polish diving capital – Tricity.

However, a diver does not live by long expeditions alone and therefore with a view to weekly excursions into the Gulf of Gdansk, another 18 m long vessel, M/Y KASKELOT, has been put at the divers’ disposal. This is an opportunity for divers from all over Poland to spend an unforgettable diving weekend on the Baltic Sea. Arrival on Friday evening and overnight stay in lodgings prepared for divers, will allow to spend full 2 days on clean and unlimited diving. After the last dive on Sunday, there is time for sightseeing in Gdansk, which, thanks to its great location, requires no other means of transport than your own legs.

Dive centres, schools or organised diving groups have a wide range of options for spending a few days with a solid dive. Nothing stands in the way of taking your family with you. During your trip to the Baltic Sea, your nearest and dearest will be able to visit the old town and many interesting places that Gdansk offers.
