II Conference on Underwater Archaeology SKBP 2013

We invite everyone to visit the Institute of Archaeology of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń on 17-18 May 2013. It will be another great opportunity to get acquainted with the results of the work of true enthusiasts, who pull information about our past and culture from the depths of seas, lakes and rivers.

“The Underwater Research Student Circle at the Department of Underwater Archaeology IA UMK in Toruń cordially invites you to the second conference on underwater archaeology, which will be held on 17-18 May at the Institute of Archaeology IA UMK in Toruń. The meeting is addressed to students of archaeology and PhD students, but also to all those interested in exploring the subject of the underwater world. Sea – inland – nautical – these are the themes of this year’s conference. All papers concerning underwater research, ships , lakes, sea, rivers, bridges, surface settlements, but also societies’ contacts with the water environment, worship, transport, economy and all other ways of using water in ancient times are welcome.”

The conference fee includes 2 nights accommodation, 2 lunches and conference materials. Those wishing to attend the conference (not using the accommodation and meals), can attend at no extra cost.
