PADI has prepared an interesting Digital Underwater Photographer eLearning programme, which is dedicated to all divers who want to start their adventure with underwater photography. Thanks to the acquired knowledge and skills, participants will be able to consciously document their underwater adventures and improve their skills.

The Digital Underwater Photographer course, is a popular specialist diving course offered by PADI, the world’s largest diving organisation. It allows users to easily gain the knowledge and skills associated with taking their first underwater photos, or polish their existing skills to improve their craft and ultimately take stunning underwater photographs that will preserve the memories of their dives for years to come.

The convenient, interactive online learning option takes around 12 hours to complete and allows users to study anytime, anywhere, at a pace to suit their own ability, all while using videos, recordings, graphics and short quizzes to aid learning and be able to assess progress made.

The course also provides access to the online version of the Digital Underwater Photographer manual, and the whole course ends with practical training, which takes place during two dives, where, under the guidance of a PADI specialist, we will be able to demonstrate our skills and work on the issues that cause us problems.

We will learn, among other things, how to choose the right equipment for underwater photography, what rules to follow when taking photos in order to obtain good exposure and composition using the PADI SEA method, which helps to obtain great photos.

The PADI Digital Underwater Photographer course counts towards the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course and the PADI Master Scuba Diver assessment. Students can complete the theory part of the course from home or from anywhere in the world thanks to the PADI eLearning system.
