Arnaud Jerald has just broken the world record!

At the CMAS European Cup 2020 held in the Greek town of Kalamata, a huge surprise was caused by French athlete Anaud Jerald, who descended to a depth of 112 metres and broke the world record just set by Alexei Molchanov in the CWTB competition – standing weight in fins.

However, a short time later Molchanov improved his result by becoming the new world record holder. Now the situation has reversed and to the Frenchman has jumped over his rival.

It seems that in the coming years we may witness a very exciting rivalry between these players and, in the long run, also a change of guard. The highly successful Russian is already 33 years old and there is no doubt that at some point someone will take his place. Perhaps it will be 24-year-old Arnaud Jerald?
