During the Individual AIDA Pool World Championships, held in Belgrade, Poland’s leading freediver Magdalena Solich-Talanda, won a gold medal and set a new World Record in the dynamic swimming with fins competition – DYN!

In the fourth round on the fifth day of the championships, the Pole achieved a sensational result of 243 metres! Thus, Solich-Talanda set a new World Record in the second swimming competition. Magda also has the best result on this planet, in dynamic swimming without fins DNF – 191 meters.

We all expected a good result from our representative. Already at the end of April she showed that she is in great shape, when during the competition Mazovia MiniComp 2018, she beat her own result in the DNF competition. However, the result could not be recognised as a new World Record due to procedural reasons (lack of international judges).

The newest record set by our freediver can be treated as a symbolic change in the relay of generations, and also the place itself seems to be not accidental. It was in Belgrade, in 2014, that the previous record was set by the greatest legend in the history of women’s freediving, Russian Natalia Molchanova.

We would like to congratulate Magdalena on yet another great achievement and wish her much success in her future starts!
