The product of a Japanese manufacturer – Tusa – is an interesting proposition for people who prefer diving in warm waters or who travel a lot and like to have their proven equipment with them. Voyager is a waistcoat full of unique solutions such as Weight Loading System (W.L.S.), a system of independent harnesses or a stabilising harness.

The BCD from Tusa weighs just 2kg, so considering air transport, it is an interesting alternative to heavier competitors. Despite its light weight, the waistcoat has been created from very durable materials, so you shouldn’t worry about it wearing out quickly. On the left side, it has a unique addition in the form of a special sleeve for a manometer/console. Another interesting solution is the patented O.P.E.V. quick inflation system allowing quick inflation and deflation.

The cut is very well thought out and fits the body perfectly. At the same time the harness and straps have been slimmed down, we get a classic jacket which does not overwhelm us with its bulk. Additionally, all harness elements are nicely lined from the inside.

Voyager is equipped with 3 zipped pockets (2 larger and 1 smaller) in which we can place all kinds of small items which we usually take underwater. Behind the side pockets, there is a place for the integrated weight. Everything is so integrated into the whole that it is easy to miss. There are 10 plastic D-rings on the whole jacket, to which we can attach instruments and items used in our configuration. They are well placed but unfortunately small in size.

In the water, the Tusa Voyager does not cause any problems either and swimming in it is quite easy and pleasant. The main strap for attaching the cylinder is supported by a slightly smaller one placed at the bottom of the waistcoat. In combination with a soft back stiffener they perfectly prevent the cylinder from rocking. Under water, the biggest problem is the emergency pumping of the jacket using the mouthpiece. You have to work hard for a while before the waistcoat fills with air.
