Just over two weeks separate us from the next Lodz Wreck Diving Festival, which will take place at the Technical University of Lodz. Before this happens, we have for you another portion of information with which you should familiarize yourself before coming to Lodz, and we wanted to inform all participants of our competition who was the winner!

Adam Wysoczański

There are not many experienced instructors in Poland who train on closed circuits, this one is the best. Adam Wysoczański trains his students on various types of rebreathers, maintaining the highest standards. Adam has also taken part in many international expeditions exploring deep lying wrecks. At the festival, he will present and analyse the dangers in wreck diving with the use of rebreathers.

“Underwater trackers”

The national launch of Mariusz Borowiak’s book – “Podwodni tropiciele. Mystery of the wreck of the escort destroyer ORP Kujawiak” at the VI Wreck Diving Festival on 13 February 2016.

The launch of a sea book is nothing less than the christening of a publication. It takes place with the following props: a red rose and a glass of champagne. The cover is sprinkled with the liquor by the godmother, who during the “launching” says an occasional formula (similar to the content of the launching of a ship/ship), performing the act of baptising the book.

The godmother will be our diving friend Ewa Mania.
The “launched” book will be donated to an evening charity auction and the money raised will go to the Lodz Hospice for Children.

Tickets

There are still 30 free places left for the 6th edition of the Wreck Diving Festival. Online sales will be held until 9 February or until all available places are sold out. After this date, if there are still free places, tickets can be purchased on the day of the festival for 100 PLN in cash.

Competition

The correct answer to our question “In what years have the previous editions of the festival taken place and what event crowns the official part of the event?” is of course: 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015 and the charity auction. The winner of our competition, in which a VIP ticket and a T-shirt were up for grabs, was Filip Rachwał. Thank you all for taking part, and congratulations to the winner!
