The meeting, as the organisers explain, is the result of the growing popularity of Kolosy. event organised in Gdynia, at which Kolosy is presentedThe organisers explain that the meeting is a result of the growing popularity of Kolosy, and at the same time the lack of possibility to hold an intimate, calm conversation, which characterised previous editions and disappeared with each subsequent year due to huge attendance.

The guests of the summer meeting of Kolosy will include Magda Skopek (Kolos in the “Travels” category and the audience award), Piotr Mitko (author of the well-received film “Iceland is a Woman”), Szymon Kowalczyk (expedition into the hard-to-reach Sudanese mountains) and Grzegorz Kuśpiel (exploration of tropical forests and caves in Indonesia). Apart from the aforementioned guests known from the last edition of the Gdynia event, there will also be a figure well known from the previous years – Piotr Strzeżysz (Nowak’s Africa).

The special guest of LSP will be Krzysztof Wielicki, a member of the Kolosy Chapter, one of the most famous Himalayan climbers in the world. He was the first man (together with Leszek Cichy) to summit Mount Everest in wintertime. He was the fifth alpinist to complete the Crown of the Himalayas.

The organisers have announced that the individual speeches of the invited guests will be much longer than those presented at the awards ceremony in Gdynia in March. At the end, there will also be time to exchange experiences and talk in an intimate atmosphere.

According to the organisers, this is not all that awaits us at the Cultural Centre, located in Dwór Białoprądnicki. There will also be an opportunity to watch lectures recorded in March, during the award ceremony, with commentaries by the authors.

A completely unique and unprecedented event will be the seminar “The World through the Eyes of a Child”, where, for the first time at a travel event, children will act as speakers! The meeting with young travellers will be held in a separate room with a capacity of 70 people.

The organisers, MART Agency (the organiser of Kolosy) and the Cultural Centre “Dworek Białoprądnicki” invite you to the meeting, to which admission is free.
