“Time for depth” is getting closer and closer…

When I started looking for information about the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms of the MW 10 years ago, most experts on the subject claimed that the watch was a legend. In 2018, only a few now doubt that the Polish Navy used some of the most famous (and expensive) dive watches in the 1970s. How did this change come about? The story is told in the pages of this book.

“Time at depth” is not a watch encyclopaedia, where you can find information about every diving watch produced. If you are looking for a catalogue – this is not the publication for you. It is a position treating about the history and phenomenon of diving watches, about the people who created their legend, and finally about the most famous diving watches in and about the least known, although extremely interesting.

“Time in the Depths” tells in vivid, colourful language about the famous Blancpains of the Navy, the watches of Her Majesty’s agent – the famous 007, and the divers of Jacques-Yves Cousteau, but also about the extraordinary Vostok Amphibia, whose technical solutions in some respects predate more famous models.

This is the first such item on the Polish publishing market, written by a Polish author and there may be some gaps in the book, which, however, thanks to the knowledge of readers and watch world enthusiasts, will be easily filled in the next edition of this book, which will surely appear!

Arkadiusz Pawełek – Polish traveller, sailor and diver.

As early as this Sunday, 4 November, at 9 p.m., the possibility to buy the book “Time to go deep” by Mateusz Piechnik in the pre-order system will end. Anyone interested in purchasing the book “last minute” should contact the author directly at czasnaglebokosci@wp.pl.
