During the Caribbean Cup 2019 freediving competition, an amazing performance was shown by three athletes who set 3 new CMAS world records! Italian-born Alessia Zecchini, Ukrainian Nataliia Zharkova and Slovenian Alenka Artnik flashed phenomenal form and can consider their performances during the competition held in Roatan, Honduras, as extremely successful.

On the first day of the competition Zecchini reached the depth of 73 metres in the competition with fixed weight without fins – CNF, in turn, on the second day Zharkova dived to the depth of 91 metres in the competition with fixed weight in fins – CWTB. All the competitors have to admit that they compete in really difficult conditions. The weather did not spare them and the venue was not free from strong currents. All the more applause for both ladies, who climbed to the heights of their skills, setting new world records.

Interestingly, the Caribbean Cup 2019 competition held in Honduras, hosts judges from both major freediving federations AIDA and CMAS.
