Traveller Justin Carmack, who runs the popular blog True Nomads, has set himself an interesting goal – to visit the 100 best and most popular diving locations in the world. So far, he has managed to tick off almost 1/5 of all the items on his list.

On his trip he has already visited Spigel Grove in Florida, as well as some interesting dive sites on the Red Sea. The 29-year-old traveller chose the Philippines as his next destination, where he spent 6 weeks visiting another 4 items on the list. He will now head to Thailand to continue his amazing journey.

Visiting a hundred places may not seem like some great feat for a professional traveler and travel writer, but we have to realize that the list includes a whole bunch of items scattered around the world, including some that are extremely difficult or expensive to get to.

As he writes on his blog, he created the list himself by scouring the internet and consulting with people who are professionally involved in the business of diving. The aim is not to create any ranking, and the order of the list is completely random.

You can follow the progress of the visited places here.
