Another of the novelties we present is the Everything Diving App on Scuba Schools International. It has been present on the market for several years, but before the 2015 season it has undergone many changes, as well as the whole SSI training system.

The free software, available from iTunes and the Google Play Store, is easy to install, intuitive and provides the user with everything a diver needs at home and on the move, the developers say.

The application includes, among others:

SSI Certificates held
Dive Planner
List of equipment
Buddy Checklist
Diving signals
First aid – in case of emergency
SSI centres and facilities near you – covers the whole world, with detailed descriptions of the services provided

Among the paid innovations that the application has been extended in comparison with previous versions, two of the most important should be mentioned: a digital logbook and the possibility to purchase training materials for individual courses. Especially the latter is something SSI representatives are happy to brag about. Why?

First of all, because of what the user gains. If we decide to abandon traditional materials in favour of electronic ones, our course, apart from being cheaper, will be enriched with many multimedia materials (films, photos, illustrations, animations or diagrams), available at any time on our smartphone or tablet.

Online updates and error corrections are also carried out painlessly for all users. Any typos or errors that may appear in the material can now be easily corrected.

In the course of learning, after mastering a particular part of the material, the user is subjected to a series of control questions which are randomly selected and help consolidate the knowledge. An interesting option is also the creation of bookmarks and notes in places of particular interest or difficulty.

Visually, the whole thing also looks better and has been prepared with attention to detail. Regardless of the device on which we open the application, its size will be adjusted automatically. The whole is available in several languages and is still being developed.
