Among the measuring devices, which belong to the obligatory equipment of each diver, compass takes quite a high place. Thanks to it we can move under water without losing our orientation about our position.

A good compass, above all, should be legible and robust, have a so-called window on its side and not lock too easily when its position deviates from the horizontal. If the last parameter were on the slightly higher end, the Suunto SK-7 would undoubtedly be a near-perfect device.

The SK-7 is one of the most popular compasses among divers. This is due to its readability and clarity. Combined with a tilt tolerance of approximately 30° and no azimuth indication error, it is the first choice for those reaching for a navigation device.

The dial, in addition to a very legible scale, is fluorescent, so after momentary exposure, it clearly shows the direction, even in great darkness, without the need for additional illumination.

As standard, the Suunto compass is available in a strap-on case, but there’s nothing to stop you transferring the module itself to a console or elastomer case to make it even more convenient to use.

Its approximate price is 235pln.
