In our last poll, we asked our readers what they considered to be the most important diving event of the past year. A total of 166 people took part in the vote, and the undisputed winner was Krzysztof Starnawski, who set a depth record in closed circuit diving.

As many as 102 people voted for the feat of the Polish cave diver. The next places on the podium were taken by two wrecks. The second place went to the Swedish divers who found the ship “Mars” – 13% (21 votes). The lowest step of the podium was taken by Polish divers, who in the summer identified the wreck “Akademik Karpinsky” – 10% (17 votes). Further positions were taken by the following events: 4. finding the oldest champagne – 4% (7 votes), 5. expedition “Wind driven” – 4% (6 votes), 6. finds of the project “1655-1906-2009” – 4% (6 votes), 7. other 3% and 8. the Baltictech 2011 conference – 1%.
