Subnautica - a computer game for those who want to explore underwater

January 23, 2018 saw its full PC release. The developer and publisher is Unknown World Entertainment, enjoying copy sales in excess of 2 million already.

The plot of the game takes us to an alien planet named 4546B, which is mostly covered by oceans. In the main mode, the hero’s goal is to survive and try to escape from the planet. He travels through underwater reefs, caves and depths to find necessary items to feed himself and create new items. The fauna and flora of the underwater environment of the planet 4546B is very rich and changes depending on the depth we are at. We will meet there a lot of friendly creatures, which we collect and capture with our hands or created by us tools. On our way will stand predators, which can hurt or kill us. The authors also talk about giant underwater beasts, which are waiting for us somewhere in the depths. To reach them, we have to build ourselves a ship, using the materials and materials we have collected. Interestingly, before we get a capsule or a diving cylinder, the diving time is very limited and we have to surface before the oxygen level gets too low – kind of like diving on one breath.
