According to published information, SSI is ready to introduce a new type of training and enable its trainees to expand their knowledge and skills, in terms of using a rebreather in their dives. It is also intended to be a sort of transition from recreational to technical diving.

Poseidon Discovery, is the first equipment of its kind, dedicated to recreational divers. Fully automated on a completely closed circuit, it allows you to experience a whole new quality in diving. Each dive is monitored and controlled by computers, with sensors controlling oxygen levels. The entire dive record is stored in a removable module.

The wrist computer informs us about depth, pressure and oxygen concentration. Light, safe and easy to use, Discovery has been designed not only for professionals. It is also a great device for those who are looking for new routes in their underwater adventure.

Representatives from both companies recently attended a special training session in the Virgin Islands to kick-start their cooperation and get it on track.

“I think SSI’s forward thinking and the new Discovery rebreather, are the perfect combination for recreational divers,” said Jeff McNutt, CEO of Dive BVI

Both SSI and Poseidon representatives are very enthusiastic about the opportunity to collaborate and implement the new closed loop training system.
