Software update for Shearwater Petrel 3 and NERD 2 - Firmware V93

Canadian dive computer manufacturer Shearwater has released a software update for its Petrel 3 and NERD2 units – Firmware V93. The official Shearwater Research website has announced the availability of the latest software update. This time the update applies to the Petrel 3 and NERD 2 computers. Software update for Shearwater Petrel 3 and NERD 2 – Firmware V93

Canadian dive computer manufacturer Shearwater has released a software update for its Petrel 3 and NERD2 units – Firmware V93.

The official Shearwater Research website has announced the availability of the latest software update. This time the update applies to the Petrel 3 and NERD 2 computers. Firmware V93 includes features available in versions 91 and 92 (released only for Petrel 3 and Perdix 2) to older products, where hardware allows. See the release notes for version 91 for more details.

This release also includes new features, improvements and fixes. This Firmware V93 is recommended for all users using Shearwater Petrel 3, Petrel 2, Perdix, Perdix AI, Perdix 2 and NERD 2 computers.

Firmware V93 includes the following changes:

  • NERD 2/Perdix/Perdix AI/Petrel 2/Petrel 3 – adds optional “MINI” display in the NDL area
  • NERD 2/Perdix/Perdix AI/Petrel 2/Petrel 3 – After decompressions clears, the NDL display does not revert to NDL until NDL falls below 99 minutes
  • NERD 2/Perdix/Perdix AI/Petrel 2/Petrel 3 – The stack timer can now be added to mini display configurations
  • NERD 2/Petrel 3/Petrel 2 only – Adds the PPO2 Calibration History feature
