The manufacturer of the well-known and highly regarded Shearwater computers has announced the availability of new software – Firmware V93.

Canadian manufacturer Shearwater Research has made new software available to users of the Petrel 2, Perdix, Perdix AI and Perdix 2 computers. The V93 firmware includes features already known from the V91 version, which was only available for the Petrel 3 and Perdix 2 units.

Firmware V93 also includes a number of new features, improvements and fixes. The manufacturer recommended the computer update to all owners of Petrel 2, Perdix, Perdix AI and Perdix 2 models.

  • Perdix/Perdix AI/Petrel 2 – adds optional “MINI” display in NDL area
  • Perdix/Perdix AI/Petrel 2 – once decompression is complete, the NDL display does not return to NDL until NDL drops below 99 minutes
  • Petrel 2/Perdix/Perdix AI – stack timer can now be added to mini display configuration
  • Petrel 2 only – PPO2 calibration history function added
