As reported by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the population of winged wrasse (Latin Pterois volitans) in the Atlantic, especially around the coasts of Florida, South America and the Caribbean, exploded again in 2010 after a certain quieting. It turns out that this dangerous beauty has become the main predator of the reefs, but at the same time it is itself a target for hunting, as culinarily it has very tasty meat. Given the threat to at least 50 different species of fish that are on the menu, the wings are proposed to be included in the popular and much-loved seafood. Listening to this voice, the Monterey Bay Aquarium is now recommending just wingfish meat as one of its dishes.

It can already be tasted in places in Florida such as Sarasota, Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale. Soon, it may also appear on the tables of European restaurants. What about you? Have you had the chance to eat horsetail?
