The town of Lohja has requested an explanation of the situation in Ojamo mines with regard to cave diving. In this way you too can help, as you have the opportunity to make your voice heard.
And a specific one you can comment on and sign a petition launched by the Finnish Diving Federation and Ojamona Tekniikkasukeltajata. Their aim is that there should be open and transparent diving activities at Ojamo Mine, and that the site itself should be accessible to all divers.
Many of our readers may remember that at the beginning of April 2020 we already reported on collection of signatures on this issue. At that time, the whole action was a great success, with over 1,800 people signing the petition. Today, the whole issue is at the highest governmental level. Therefore the organisers and the Finnish diving community, want to show the decision makers that the diving community from all over the world still supports them.
So if you want to help, so that one day you can still dive into the beautiful Ojamo mine yourself, then sign the petition.
