Not so long ago, Seeseaker released sunglasses equipped with a camera, allowing us to conduct live video broadcasts using the popular Snapchat application. Now, the company has gone a step further and its next product is a diving mask that will allow us to connect the aforementioned glasses and share our videos from under the water.

Whether it’s the occasional snoorklowanie or already more advanced diving in full gear, we will be able to share with others the image recorded from the diver’s perspective. As assured by the manufacturer, their product provides the ability to record video, take photos and live stream to a depth of approximately 45 metres (150 feet).

“Seeseaker will enable those looking for interesting places and new experiences to observe, from a first-person perspective, nooks and crannies of the world that have not previously been accessible to them. Snapchat is a medium of young and active people, where travel themes are gaining popularity. It’s the perfect platform for a product like ours,” explains Jim Berra, head of marketing for Royal Caribbean International.

The Seeseaker goggle-adapted mask has been developed by the US-based global cruise company, Royal Caribbean. Now, by going underwater, we give others the opportunity to co-view what we are currently seeing. Whether it be wrecks or lush coral reef life. The Seeseaker allows you to record 30 minutes of video footage.

Until now, only Royal Caribbean guests have had the opportunity to see how the device works. During cruises in the Mexico area, a lot of footage was captured in the beautiful waters there, which was then posted on the @RoyalCarribean account as part of the #SeekDeeper campaign.
