The biggest surprise that met us at the Wreck Diving Festival in Lodz, was the appearance of the Seaengeenering team and the presentation of SV 7 dive scooters. The device itself attracts attention, but when you start to delve into the subsequent details and parameters… it gets even more interesting. Before we present you an interview with Seaengeenering CEO Piotr Lelito, we have prepared some information about the equipment, which in the near future can seriously stir up the market.
The new DPV SV7 has a number of interesting and unique solutions, not found so far among competing products. It is the parameters and solutions used in Sea Voyager, combined with the price, that make it worth watching closely and you will absolutely have to go at least once to an event like Demo Days, where the Seaengeenering team will be present.
Coming to the point – the SV7 is the first dive scooter whose engine runs fully submerged. The use of such a solution completely reduces leaks through the drive shaft, as well as the need for expensive and emergency sealants. In addition, it eliminates the heating of the interior and enables work at much greater depths and with much greater engine power.
As for the design, the scooter is extremely light and manoeuvrable. This makes it an ideal “partner” in long distance dives, both recreational and technical. All SV7 components are made on the production line at aerospace plants, from special aluminium alloys and technopolymers. This guarantees the highest quality and precision, visible at first sight.
An interesting novelty is the parameter display. SV 7 is virtually the only one on the market to allow full, continuous and comfortable control of operating parameters. It is equipped with a large colour O-LED display which enables the most important information for the user to be constantly monitored – in the basic version, the runtime, the battery discharge status and a number of information messages.
The handling of the DPV created by the specialists at Seaengeenering is also unusual. The scooter has a comfortable handle on both sides, with integrated buttons to start the scooter and an ergonomic button for multi-stage speed adjustment. Releasing the handle brings the scooter to an immediate stop, while gripping it gently increases the speed to the previously set one. The speed setting button allows you to set one of the nine swimming speeds and is conveniently and intuitively operated with the thumb. All changes take place very smoothly, without jerks.
The power supply also includes an unprecedented solution – the latest generation of lithium-ion batteries. They are characterised by high capacity, resistance to harsh conditions and relatively short charging time. Built-in balancer, internal battery control system and external charging socket allows charging the battery without dismantling the scooter. The high capacity makes it possible to cross previous barriers that limit diving.
Precise indication of the battery charge level and other operating parameters, a separate safety switch, precise indication of the operating mode, protection against accidental switching on, a convenient carrying handle, a dedicated stand, the possibility of charging without dismantling and safety electronics are just some of the elements increasing safety and comfort of use.
Soon you will be able to find out much more from us about the Sea Voyager, as we will soon have the opportunity to test the new Polish technological idea in the cold waters of the Norwegian Plura cave!
