Today we are going to introduce you to the Everflex wetsuit, the flagship product of the diving equipment tycoon Scubapro. The attention of those who are up to date with the diving gear has certainly not escaped the fact how, over the course of a few years, the everflex model has developed from an inconspicuous cinderella into one of the most interesting wetsuits that dive shops have in their offer.
Modern and comfortable, it is a compilation of many proven and functional solutions, combined with high comfort of use. The wetsuit is made of durable and elastic neoprene, which allows it to fit perfectly to our body.
Overall on the inside is padded with a pleasant to the touch material with the not very telling name heliospan. The aforementioned insert makes the suit even more comfortable, and getting dressed and undressed is very easy and does not require much effort. Its additional advantage is very high water absorption, which significantly improves thermal insulation.
Our attention must also be drawn to the excellent workmanship of the whole thing. Both the collar, cuffs and legs are finished with orifices made of very tight glideskin material, and additionally, in order to improve the comfort of dressing, zips were used on both sleeves and legs. While we are on the subject of zips, it is worth noting that the zip on the back is additionally protected with a sealing pad, also covered with heliospane. Other important elements that attract attention when we take a closer look at the Everflex overall are the I-Safe computer attachment on the forearm and the tatex protectors on the knees, which increase the suit’s resistance to abrasion. The shoulders and elbows have also been specially protected, as they are the most vulnerable to damage. The suit is bound together with double blind stitching on the outside and straight stitching on the inside, which ensures proper tightness and high durability.
The Overal, depending on our needs, is available in 3 thicknesses – 3mm recommended for tropical waters, 5mm being the universal standard and 7mm being the ideal starting point for native cold waters. An ideal supplement to our wetsuit is an insulating waistcoat with a hood, 7mm thick. We can buy it as a set with the overall or buy it ourselves if we feel such a need. It should be remembered that for diving in our climate, a set of overall + insulating vest is necessary, and depending on our resistance to low temperatures and the specifics of our dives, we will have to choose between 5mm + 7mm, or the thickest and warmest set of 7+7mm.
What is worth noting is the cut of the warming waistcoat. Thanks to its short sleeves and legs, it can be used as a foam shorty or a warm-up vest that will keep us comfortable while snorkelling.
The wetsuit can be recommended to all who appreciate comfort and durability for a reasonable price.
