Santi has again decided to donate protective equipment free of charge and support local hospitals in their fight against another wave of coronavirus.

The whole world is struggling with the third wave of coronavirus. Due to the increasing trend of infections seen in recent days, SANTI has decided to once again support it free of charge by donating ProSafe protective suits to support local hospitals.

Santi again supports local hospitals in fight against pandemic Last Friday, SANTI handed over a total of about 300 coveralls worth over PLN 100 thousand to the Medical Rescue Team at the Hospital in Wejherowo, Gynaecological and Obstetrics Ward at the University Clinical Centre in Gdańsk and the AmberExpo Temporary Hospital in Gdańsk. It is thanks to the suits, among others, that the health care workers – the first front line of the fight against the coronavirus – will be able to protect themselves against the infection and bring help to those in need.

Our seamstresses are wonderful people who willingly joined the initiative. Thanks to their mobilisation and commitment, the Santi Diving and Santi Workwear teams completed the sewing of the suits in a short time. This enabled them to be handed over smoothly and this is not the first time we have helped in this way. Last year we decided to use all our knowledge about diving suits. At that time we joined the nationwide #BiznesPomaga campaign. we handed over the suits for testing and preliminary assessment in order to best protect the medical personnel. – read the press release

The protective suit was designed from scratch by the employees of a company based in Gdynia. The protective suit is fully waterproof and equipped with a number of facilities. These include a thumb loop and an additional external collar on the leg. This prevents dirt from getting into the work boots. The suit also has a splash proof zip and welts on the legs, sleeves and hood. There is also a foot loop that keeps the leg in the correct position.

Medical personnel opinion

Above all, the suits are soft, well detailed and do not restrict movement. When I’m driving with the mask on, while turning, I can fully control the ride. This differentiates the Santi suit from other suits we also use. The thumb elastics are very helpful and the leg elastics – when I get out of the car, nothing pulls up. In other suits, when I get out of the car, the suit pulls up to mid-calf. It’s fine, but when I sit down and work in it, it comes off. We have a decontamination room where we can clean and disinfect the overalls and reuse them. At the beginning we used only your suits, frankly speaking – you saved our lives – Mariusz Dąbrowny from the Medical Rescue Unit at the F. Ceynowy Specialist Hospital in Wejherowo
