The long-awaited Rebreather Forum 4 symposium will take place on Malta at the end of this month from April 20-22.
Technical divers from all over the world will show up to talk about what’s happening in the world of rebreathers. And we have to admit that there is a lot going, and some of the topics stir up a lot of excitement. Therefore, if you are interested in rebreather diving, you should consider a last-minute trip to Malta.
Organizers of RF4 have estimated that about 300 guests will attend the event. It seems that these figures are quite likely to be achieved without too much trouble, especially since the whole thing promises to be very entertaining. Among the topics that are already igniting a lot of discussion in the community are diving with mixtures where helium has been replaced by hydrogen, as well as the use of Full Face Mask with CCR.
The symposium is an event focused on developing and consolidating the knowledge of the diving community. Of course, everything in relation to CCR, technology and its use by divers. The main topics are safety and performance improvements in rebreather diving.
The core of the event will be a three-day scientific meeting with leading researchers and experts in this field. Speakers will focus on diving safety, physiology, technology and training. Materials and protocols from the presentations and discussions will be released to the public by the organizers, as will high quality videos from the presentations.
In addition to all the great lectures and CCR trends, Rebreather Forum 4 is sure to be a great social event. Rarely is there the opportunity to meet so many friends at the same time and to be also able to make new ones. We, of course, could not miss such an amazing opportunity and will also be attending!
