Danish dive camera manufacturer has announced that the latest Paralenz Vaquita model will not be launched as planned. After the presentation of the latest camera in February, interest among users was very high, but due to the chaos that has crept into our lives due to the pandemic, the official launch had to be postponed.

We first heard about the Paralenz Vaquita camera at February’s Boot Fair in Düsseldorf. After all, what better occasion to launch a new model than Europe’s biggest watersports trade fair?

The Vaquita has generated a huge amount of interest. Partly based on the great PR that the company owes to its previous models, but above all, thanks to its very impressive specification. Users were asking one fundamental question – when? And in response they have heard that spring, most likely the end of April 2020 is a realistic launch date.

Unfortunately, no one could have foreseen the confusion that the COVID-19 virus pandemic would cause and the impact it would have on various industries, including diving. Paralenz representatives assure that despite the slight slippage, there is nothing to worry about and the camera will be on the market in the summer, at the end of July 2020 to be precise.

“The problem is not the production of the cameras themselves. We want to ensure that Paralenz Vaquita and its firmware and dedicated application are properly tested, so that from the very beginning the user is dealing with a fully-fledged product and enjoying the best possible experience.” – a company representative explained to us
