The #NurkowiePomagmySobie campaign aims to raise awareness of the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the diving industry in Poland. We are organising a series of expert presentations online, during which money will be raised for Dive Centres/Bases in Poland.

The first series of presentations on diving medicine will take place on 9 May. In 3 hours you will have the opportunity to hear 3 medical authorities with a vast knowledge of diving. The guiding theme of the panel is medical qualification and disqualification from diving, and the specific presentations and speakers are:

  • “COVID-19 and diving” – Jacek Kot, MD
  • “Ear and nose problems in divers and laryngological aspects of COVID-19” – Mirosław Szczepański, MD
  • “Health problems preventing diving from an orthopaedic perspective” – Mikołaj Wróbel, MD

The presentations are free to attend and all speakers are sharing their knowledge in support of the #NurkowiePomagmySobie campaign. In return, we ask participants to support collections organised by specific Dive Centres/Bases available on website.

The presentations will be available to the public in the form of a livestream on Facebook and channel YouTube. Prepare your questions to ask our specialists during the presentation or send them now to zapytajeksperta@nurkowiepomagajmysobie.pl. At the end of each presentation there will be time for the speakers to answer them.

The money collected during the campaign is an individual collection organised by the individual Diving Centres/Bases. They decide on the amount of the collection, the exact purpose and whether there are additional benefits for the contributors. Details of individual collections can be found here.

Although there are also people behind the action who are associated with specific diving organisations, this initiative is not branded by any organisation and it has a grassroots character. Speakers, organisers and all supporters are volunteers in the action. If you think that you can support the action with your work or knowledge, we invite you to contact zgloszenie@nurkowiepomagajmysobie.pl.

The action can be joined by any Centre and/or Diving Base in Poland of any training organisation with a physical location of the school / shop. The assumption is to act beyond the divisions for the good of all involved in diving training activities in Poland.

  1. Create a collection for your centre using any fundraising portal such as:
    a. Zrzutka.pl (best as we are able to upload your drop directly to the site)
    b. Polakpotrafi.pl
    c. Patronite
    d. Many others, which you can find on the Internet
  2. Send an email to zgloszenia@nurkowiepomagajmysobie.pl containing:
    a. The name of your Dive Centre
    b. Contact person
    c. The URL of your fundraising page
    d. Your Dive Centre logo
    e. A few sentences of text describing your activity – this text will be displayed below your logo on the project page

More information can be found on the website www and on Facebook.
