Odyssey has found another wreck - the SS Mantola

It is the British freighter SS Mantola sunk on 9 February 1917. The ship was sailing from London to Calcutta, with a cargo of 20 tonnes of silver bars, worth $19m today.

A well-known company involved in searching for wrecks and extracting their cargo from considerable depths has reported another find. It is the British freighter SS Mantola sunk on 9 February 1917.

The ship was sailing from London to Calcutta, with a cargo of 20 tonnes of silver bars, worth $19m today. The find was made at a depth of 2500m, 150km from the recently found wreck of another British freighter, the SS Gairsoppa.
