No Gravity Sea Lion – warmers for every occasion

A new season is coming and soon crowds will visit Polish diving sites. Before the season it is worth checking carefully all the equipment and make up the shortages. For those who will be faced with the choice of buying a new warmer, we introduce Sea Lion series sewn by the company No Gravity.

Depending on our needs, we can choose from 3 models – Sea Lion Light, Sea Lion and Sea Lion Plus. Each model is designed for diving in different conditions, so we can choose the one in which we will be warm enough, but will not overheat.

Sea Lion Light is a single-layer warmer made of Polartec Wind Pro fabric. It provides the user with high thermal comfort and breathability at a very low weight and, according to the manufacturer, protects against wind four times better than similar materials. This is why Polartec Wind Pro is used as the top layer of all insulators in the Sea Lion series.

The basic model of the Sea Lion series is the choice for warmer waters such as Egypt and Croatia. It is suitable for use with a shell suit or even in moderately cold waters as a warmer under a compressed neoprene suit.

As the manufacturer assures, Sea Lion Light is also a great solution for people practising other sports. The light weight, fitted cut which does not restrict your movements and great protection against the wind are definitely the biggest advantages of this model. The whole is completed with 3 pockets (2 on the thighs, 1 zipped pocket on the chest). The legs and cuffs are made of Polartec Power Strech, a material which does not absorb water. The whole is completed with holes that help remove excess air.

To make sure the warmer fits you well, apart from the right cut, the legs are finished with wide rubber bands and there are braces inside. Combined with the huge range of sizes (18 to choose from) and the possibility of having it tailor-made, the Sea Lion Light can fit like a second skin.

For more demanding people, who do most of their diving in cold waters, a definitely better choice will be a warmer than the Light model – Sea Lion. Unlike the basic model of the series, in this case we are dealing with a two-layer warmer, which in combination with a good set of thermoactive underwear can work well during longer dives in low temperatures in the thermocline area.

The Polartec Wind Pro layer known from the previously discussed basic model of the series has been supplemented on the inside with Polartec Thermal Pro material. Another layer keeps the body warm while providing great ventilation and even greater diving comfort.

The whole is equipped with 3 pockets, wide rubber straps for feet, braces and thumb welts. The YKK double zipper is hidden under a protective fabric flap. As usual, we can choose a specimen for ourselves from 18 sizes or order a made-to-measure one.

The warmest model of the series is Sea Lion Plus. The creators dedicate it to those divers who decide during their dives to stay long in very cold water. The layers we already know well from the previous two models – Polartec Wind Pro and Polartec Thermal Pro, were complemented by another one called Polartec Power Dry.

The additional layer is designed to wick moisture away from the diver’s body. In combination with high heating properties and high vapour permeability, it creates a great combination allowing you to conduct even the most demanding dives. Therefore, the manufacturer recommends this model for technical diving and diving in very low temperatures.

All models in the series are available in 18 standard sizes as well as made-to-measure. Two pockets on the thighs are supplemented by a YKK zipped pocket on the chest. A YKK zipper also fastens the warmer itself. Each insulated jacket comes with a set of harnesses which, together with thumb straps and rubber straps for the feet, ensure a perfect fit.
