It has been known for a long time that the No Gravity company is going to expand its offer with a dry suit. The first prototype was presented at the Podwodna Przygoda diving fair in Warsaw at the beginning of the year. However, the concept has little to do with the final version, which is now available in shops under the name Baltic.

Suchar was presented to a wider audience at the season-ending diving Demo Day in Zakrzówek. It was there that you could test the new Polish suit and listen to opinions about it. While everyone has slightly different preferences and reviews should always be approached with a slight distance, we can take a closer look at Baltic’s specifications.

No Gravity’s debut drysuit is a shell suit made of butylene-based trilaminate with a ripstop nylon outer layer. Baltic is only available with a Tizip zipper located in the front of the suit and hidden under a pleat to protect against dirt and damage.

Looking at the new child of No Gravity, let us start from the top. As a standard, each Baltic is equipped with a neoprene orifice, which suggests that the whole is rather a well thought-out composition, where quality is more important than the lowest possible cost of production. For those unconvinced about neoprene around the neck, there is an option to order copies equipped with a latex orifice.

As far as the wrists are concerned, the Baltic in its basic version has rings made by the Swedish company Si-Tech, however it is possible to place an order for rings made by another company, or leave the cuffs glued in, not equipped with the ring system. The addition and release valve is also supplied by Si-Tech, although optionally we can use valves of the British brand Apeks. We also have room for manoeuvre in determining the position of the bleeder valve, depending on our preferences.

On the legs, in addition to optional knee reinforcements, we have arranged two large cargo pockets. In the left pocket there is a separate pocket for wetnotes. In the patch closing the right pocket, there is an additional zippered compartment. In both pockets, our equipment can be attached with elastic bands. Water accumulated during the dive can be drained through holes located on the bottom.

The legs are finished with a classic neoprene bootie drenched in rubber. This guarantees adequate thermal protection as well as comfort. In the future, the manufacturer plans to introduce a solution with non-integrated boots.

The basic and only colour of the fabric is black. However, in order to give our suit individual features, we can decide on different colour finishes of the rubber elements, logo or stitching colours.

Baltic is available in a full range of standard sizes, which should meet the expectations of most customers. In individual cases, it is possible to sew the suit to measure, for an additional fee.

If you want to personalise your new No Gravity suit, you will be able to order additional items such as knee pads, patches with your name or flag or the so-called relief valve – P-Valve. In the purchased set, the user will find braces, hood, bag, BC hose, zipper lubricant and company gadgets from the manufacturer. The whole set is covered by a 3-year warranty period.

Price: approx. 5 500 PLN
