The awarding of “Kolosy”, will take place for the 13th time, and the categories in which the awards will be presented are as follows: travel, sailing, mountaineering, cave exploration and feat of the year. As in previous years, the competition jury will also present the “Super Colossus” award. The Sunday finale of the event will be hosted by: Kinga Baranowska and Piotr Pustelnik.

Among the event’s programme of 90(!) items, including amazing accounts of travels around the world, a kayak traverse from Africa across the Atlantic to South America, a winter bicycle journey through Tibet, conquering eight-thousanders or cave exploration, there will also be a place for Krzysztof Starnawski’s world record in closed-circuit diving.

Additionally, there will be an outdoor equipment and clothing salon, a travel media salon and meetings with travel book authors. Among the authors will appear: Andrzej Bober, Michal Pauli, Tomasz Michniewicz and straight from Canada – Bernardette McDonald. The North American author will promote a fresh, Polish edition of a book about the golden age of Polish Himalayan mountaineering. She will be accompanied by the heroes of this story: Krzysztof Wielicki and Leszek Cichy.

As in previous years, there will also be a seminar this year. Its topic will be quite interesting – In how many people to travel and how to complete the team? Participants of multi-person and family expeditions as well as declared loners will take part in the discussion. If you want to know their opinion, you have to be there!

More information and the full programme of the event can be found on organiser’s website!
