The manufacturer of the popular brand of advanced dive computers, Shearwater, has announced the release of two new products. The first novelty is the well-known Perdix version of Air Integrated (AI). In turn, the second premiere is the Cloud Beta system. It allows you to connect your mobile devices or laptop to the Shearwater unit and freely transmit and exchange data between them.
As assured by its creators, the Perdix AI has all the functionality of its predecessor, with the added benefit of a large and easy-to-read display that clearly shows values such as cylinder pressure and Gas Time Remaining. The Perdix AI can work with up to two transmitters simultaneously.
The Perdix AI is available in OC Rec, OC Tec, CC INT and Gauge versions. Its dimensions are 83 x 74 x 39 mm, with a weight of 154 grams. The batteries in both the computer (AA battery) and the transmitter (3V CR2 Lithium) are changed from the user. The depth limit for the Perdix is 260 metres, while for the transmitter it is 152 metres.

Shearwater Cloud Beta
This is the first Canadian approach to exploiting the possibilities offered by the transmission and storage of data in the so-called ‘cloud’. At a time when mobile devices have become an integral part of most people’s lives, it should come as no surprise to see their use or integration with dive computers.
Cloud Beta is designed to seamlessly transfer all the data from our Perdix unit to any iOS or android based mobile device, so that we can have it in our pocket in an instant. For more details on available and planned functionality, visit Shearwater’s homepage.
