The TUSA IQ1204 is the latest dive computer from the Japanese manufacturer to complete the DC-Solar series. The device can be classified as a watch computer, which we do not have to part with after diving, as its design and functionality will also be useful in everyday life. The product will certainly attract the attention of recreational divers, people who like to visit new places not only on land, as well as freedivers, for whom the computer is equipped with a special mode allowing to monitor free diving training.

Visually, the new child in the TUSA computer family looks quite decent, although this is obviously a matter of taste. The fans of large G-Shock type electronic watches will surely be satisfied. Additionally, IQ1204 has a rather large and easy to read LED display, the largest of all DC-Solar Series computers.

As far as functionality is concerned, we get the possibility to use four breathing mixtures in the range of 21-100% oxygen content, between which we can freely switch. So, as you can see, the recreational nature of the computer is apparent and you can carry out much more serious immersions in it.

No matter what our dives are, we can save the information about each one of them in our electronic logbook, thanks to the Diving Log application. Additionally, we can enrich our dive logs downloaded from the device and saved in our profile with information such as the place where we dived or photos taken during the dive. Each of the logs can also be exported and easily shared with our friends via social media.

The data from the TUSA IQ1204 can be easily downloaded to your smartphone using Bluetooth® SMART technology, but you will need the TUSA Diving LOG application installed on your phone. Among the parameters that will be saved in our log are the time of entering the water and the time of finishing the dive, total dive time, maximum depth reached, average dive depth, water temperature, date of diving and several other details.

The undoubted advantage of the device is the solar battery, which makes the device ready to work underwater at any time. So we do not have to worry about changing the battery before going abroad or special charging it before diving. It is enough that we catch some sun together with our computer.

Partial specification:

  • solar panel
  • logbook that can be transferred to a smartphone thanks to Bluetooth® SMART technology (TUSA Diving LOG app required)
  • 4 nitrox mixtures (21-100%),
