Technological progress does not bypass any area of life. Sport, including diving, is subject to constant development and improvement. Everything is becoming smaller, more precise, less unreliable and… lighter. Taking into account that diving equipment weighs a lot, it should not come as a surprise that manufacturers strive to make it a bit “slimmer”.

miflex pressure hoses are an alternative to all the hoses coming out of the first stage of our breathing apparatus. In contrast to traditional solutions, they offer us a number of conveniences that speak in their favour.

Above all, they are incredibly flexible. You can easily tie a knot on them, without damaging the structure of the hose or changing the pressure inside. Thanks to the coating with strong nylon, they are resistant to abrasion and kinking. Additionally, in contrast to rubber hoses, they are resistant to UV rays, so the influence of the sun does not shorten their life. According to what we can read on the manufacturer’s website, the life of a miflex hose is three times longer than that of a rubber hose.

Taking a full set of rubber hoses and comparing it with the same set made of miflex, we immediately notice an incredible weight difference. For people who like to travel with their equipment, this should be of great importance, due to the luggage allowances, where every kilogram counts.

Flexible, durable and lightweight. It is worth paying attention to them when completing your equipment, especially that their price is only slightly higher.
