“Hybrids” is an animated short film that is the thesis work of computer animation students from the Ecole MoPA Animation School. The main theme of the production is that litter in the oceans is becoming commonplace. So much so that flora and fauna begin to adapt to it and change under its influence. Often in unexpected ways…

The result is a vision of a dark world where waste, rubbish and pollution have become an integral part of it. As the seconds pass, creatures appear on screen, changed by the increasing scale of pollution.

The film by young French filmmakers received many prestigious awards and distinctions at various festivals and reviews. However, one in particular is worth mentioning – the Visual Effects Society award, which in the past was received by, among others, Alfonso Cuarón, Sir Ridley Scott or Jon Favreau.

We can therefore count on the fact that the painting, which was intended “only” as a thesis, will make it possible to reach the consciousness of many people, drawing attention to the problem of the growing scale of pollution, which does not spare seas and oceans either. And it is well known that water is life…
