“Good week” – vote for Starnawski!

I’m old now, and so I’m reminded more and more of stories from “before the war”… I remember when I was young, when there were practically no colour newspapers and even my trade journals were only black and white, I saw a really colourful magazine for the first time, with amazing – especially in those days – pictures. Wow! It was even better than the colourful food packaging occasionally sent from the West! What’s more, the magazine turned out to be not only “western”, but American!

Every now and then, unfortunately in those days, I had a rare opportunity to look at the photos, maps, colour schemes, ideograms inside and on the covers… And what was most interesting inside – amazing stories of amazing people and their amazing adventures from all over the world!

The modern day adventures of Stas and Nel in amazing colour! Amundsen and Hillary in the pictures and signed under the articles… What a world! Later – specifically from the end of 1999 – it was easier, because the Polish edition of this amazing magazine appeared! It wasn’t cheap, but you could already “see” it regularly.

Time passed, “times” changed, and I got used to the fact that daily contact with “a chronicle of incredible events from all over the world” is a normal thing. But invariably, the stories told and illustrated in this magazine remained Beyond the Abnormal. What a World.

In an age of numerous videos from the ‘RedBull Insane’, ‘People Are Awsome’ and ‘Made by GoPro Freaks Family’ families, the magazine – despite being old-fashioned paper! – continues to be a purveyor of world-class awesomeness. And it is in a class of its own.

Then, one sunny morning, a bolt from the blue! ….

What suddenly turns out in a staggeringly surprising way!

A man whom I have seen “a few” times, so “normal” (well, I think I’m getting ahead of myself here…), having his human faults, having some – obvious and everyday from my humble-geek point of view – superhuman qualities, turns out to be appreciated by the mysterious world of Indiana Jones!

My everyday world turns out to touch the fairy-tale world shown for years in a mysterious magazine! Moreover, I have the opportunity to take an active part in creating this mysterious fairy-tale world and its universal – because worldwide – heroes! Me! Personally! I – a man who once could only watch the ball of stars “through the glass”. – now I can take part in the ball and show the world the stars of my “backyard”!

I can, in the simplest, most banal way, click from anywhere – from the office, from home, from the train, from a meeting with friends or during a boring company meeting, or even – horror of horrors! – from a place where the king walks – on a smartphone (is it still a phone?) that disturbs his peaceful life, and vote for the “Normal” one (I’m not sure here…) Friend.

I can decide on a global hero! All I have to do is click! And if I want him to be the Greatest Hero of the past year out of the few chosen – maybe it will be enough if I click every day! How about inviting my friends to support “our” hero by clicking too! We have the opportunity to make one of our own a real hero!

Let’s fight for him to become a World Hero! After all, we’ll all be proud of it together. We have a Good Week left to vote, which is a little more than seven days!

Let’s vote every day until 16 December for our crazy Starnas! He’s already one of National Geographic’s 10 most inspiring travelers of 2016! We share a diving hobby! After all, we want one of us to be National Geographic’s Most Inspirational World Traveler of 2016!For everyone – because for us, he already is!

A! I would have forgotten! www.votestarnawski.pl
