Today is Friday the 13th, so I couldn’t miss a news item referring to this special day. A fan of the horror series “Friday the 13th” placed at the bottom of one of the lakes in the state of Minnesota a statue depicting the main character of the series – a maniacal murderer in a hockey mask, Jason Voorhees. This is how a diving attraction was created, which strongly influences the consumption of air in the cylinder!

According to local media reports, the artist Curtis Lahr is the cause of all the fuss. He placed a life-size figure of a maniacal murderer in a lake frequented by divers, near the town of Crosby. The installation waits for its “victims” at a depth of about 35 metres.

Everyone who is familiar with the character of Jason knows that his field of activity was the area around Crystal Lake and the local teenage camp. The place described as the “land of 1000 lakes” (really close to 10,000) is therefore just perfect to bring this somewhat forgotten horror character back to life.

Interestingly, the Jason Voorhees figure, created with great attention to detail, was sunk to the bottom of the lake several years ago. The time spent in the water served the installation well, as the figure gained an even darker and more terrifying look.

For those familiar with the series, you won’t have missed the follow up done by Lahr, which alludes to the ending scene of one part of “Friday the 13th” when the killer, wearing a distinctive hockey mask, is trapped right at the bottom of the lake.
