For people who have never dived, going underwater seems to be something distant, almost fantastic. The situation looks different when you have already made your debut with a cylinder on your back. Then a conviction appears in us, that no matter what happens, we will always want to go back under water.
Sometimes the situation seems hopeless, but nothing is impossible. Even if you are in a wheelchair every day, you can dream and make your dreams come true. This is what Sue Austin, who has been confined to a wheelchair for 16 years, did.
Sue, together with the help of diving experts and scientists, has created a self-propelled diving trolley. Thanks to a special design, the person in the cart can not only move under water, but also perform various stunts.
This is how the project “Freewheeling – creating the spectacle” was born. It should be mentioned that Sue Austin is an artist and around her work she created a wonderful spectacle, where the viewer, taken underwater, takes part in something extraordinary.
