The first video footage, taken during a dive on the wreck of the giant Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet, has now been released online. The plane’s fuselage was deliberately sunk in Bahrain as part of a diving theme park being built there.

The machine was sunk in mid-June 2019 in the waters of the Persian Gulf. It is intended that the Boeing will become one of the main attractions of the diving theme park under construction here. A facility with a total area of 100,000 m² will be available to the diving fraternity.

The park, which has been rumoured since January 2019, is expected to open this summer. The facility is located just over 30km north of the Amwaj Islands. Bahraini authorities hope the new attraction will provide a boost to the underwater system, while also boosting the local economy and attracting tourists from around the world.
