South African entrepreneur Elon Musk decided to cross the boundaries of good taste and, on his Twitter account, called Vernon Unsworth, a diver who took part in the recently completed rescue operation in Thailand, a paedophile. Apparently, the SpaceX boss ran out of cold blood after Unsworth criticised Musk’s ideas given during the rescue operation.

The whole affair unraveled on Sunday and ended with a point in which Elon Musk, on his Twitter account, bluntly called Unsworth a paedophile. Now the UK-based diver is considering suing the SpaceX and Tesla boss for defamation.

Of course, as is usual in such situations, the offending posts have already been deleted. As we all know, the internet does not forgive and forget, and many Twitter users have managed to take screenshots of the entire discussion.

The beginning of the dispute between the two men was the criticism of Musk’s idea on how to rescue 12 boys and their coach, trapped in a cave. Unsworth, in an interview with CNN, described the use of a mini submarine presented by Musk as a marketing ploy.

It should be mentioned that the British did not disguise his words and suggested that Musk “put his boat where it will surely hurt him”. From this spark in turn ignited the head of SpaceX and Tesla, known for his controversial statements, but this time he firmly crossed all boundaries.

As for the idea of using a submarine based on the SpaceX Falcon rocket, not only the divers but also the Thai authorities were against it, describing it as not having the slightest chance of success.

[blockquote style=”2″]”This idea did not have the slightest chance of success. He didn’t realise at all what the profile of the section of the cave that separated the trapped people from the exit looked like,” Unsworth said.”[/blockquote]

As well as calling Unsworth a paedophile, Musk questioned his participation in the entire rescue. In a subsequent tweet he wrote:

[blockquote style=”2″]”I never saw the guy from the UK who lives in Thailand. The only people that were within earshot were soldiers and members of the Thai navy, who were great.”[/blockquote]

Elon Musk also announced that he would complete work on the boat and prove that using it in action would not create any problems when moving between the different chambers of the cave.
