On the well-known and popular pier in Brzeźno, a diving event called Diving Day will be held on 20 May 2012. The event is organised by MOSiR Gdańsk, Our Earth Foundation, Baltic Seals Underwater Hockey Club and Tryton Diving Centre.

The date of the event is no coincidence. It is World Maritime Day on 20 May. As the organisers themselves say, they have decided to use this opportunity for a good cause. Diving, swimming competitions and beach clean-ups are planned for this day. Through their attitude, people connected with water want to promote the maintenance of the Tri-city beaches and the waters of the Gdansk Bay in good condition.

Everyone, regardless of their relationship with water, will be welcome at the pier in Brzeźno. Divers, swimmers, sailors and casual strollers who appreciate the charms of the seaside landscape will have a chance to meet together and make their contribution to this worthy cause.

All participants of the Diving Day will be able to count on catering, numerous prizes (among them: tablets, trips to Sweden, diving courses, souvenir t-shirts and lots of gadgets). The event will be accompanied by Strongman competitions, so if you do not necessarily feel like playing in the water, you certainly will not get bored.
