After receiving information that a diving accident had occurred in the waters of Lake Niedzięgiel, the following teams were sent to the site Fire Brigade from OSP Skorzęcin, OSP Witkowo and JRG Gniezno. While firefighters arrived at the Niedzięgiel Lake with their boats to carry out activities on the water, specialist water and diving rescue teams from Poznan and Mosina started their underwater search.

At around 15:00, the body of a wanted diver was found a few dozen metres from the shore. Although resuscitation efforts were launched after the victim was taken ashore, it took an hour before vital functions were restored.
