DAN – Divers Alert Network has announced that over the next six months instructors in the East Asia region, will have the opportunity to attend workshops to maintain their active status. The workshops are designed to give instructors access to all the latest DAN resources and training materials.

These activities are part of a larger process to standardise DAN first aid programmes around the world. As a first step, a bridging workshop for instructor trainers was held in Melbourne, Australia, led by DAN Training Director Patt Seery. The workshop was attended by instructor trainers from Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong.

They will no longer have to stockpile supplies for courses that may never take place. We will also avoid situations where trainings were held up for several weeks due to waiting for materials to arrive.
