Microbubbles are undeniably a cause of decompression illness (DCI). Over the last decade, the scientific community has been developing a new understanding of this type of injury and a new vision of the risks associated with it. In this context, DAN Europe can offer significant expertise and many years of experience. Both in collecting data from the field with the help of scientists and volunteer divers, and in decompression risk assessment.
The O’Dive technology developed by Azoth Systems will allow the work undertaken to continue and become more effective by combining mutual expertise. Sharing resources with Azoth Systems is in line with DAN Europe’s mission to promote safety in diving. The cooperation agreement is the start of long-term work. It includes the exchange of information and its mutual enrichment – said Professor Alessandro Marroni, president and founder of DAN Europe.
DAN Europe and Azoth Systems are committed to doing their utmost to achieve the goals set. The aim is to better understand and reduce the risk of developing decompression illness in line with the current state of knowledge and accepted diagnostic trends. All with the ultimate aim of sharing the results of their the press with the diving community.
What characterises the partnership with DAN Europe is based on shared knowledge, but also on complementing each other. Thanks to the O’Dive technology, divers can control and improve their diving procedures. All based on the micro-bubbles detected in their venous system after a dive. They can also benefit from personalised simulations calculated from their dive profiles. Beyond research, teaming up with DAN Europe is also a way to increase our visibility and continue this adventure with a valuable and very experienced partner – said Axel Barbaud, CEO and founder of Azoth Systems.
