In just 3 days – on 7 lit November 2015 at 10.00 a.m. there will be a cleaning of the Turquoise Lake. The place was chosen not by accident, mainly because of its wonderful qualities, such as the colour of the water and its transparency. The whole initiative will be carried out as part of the action Clean up the World – Poland.

Turquoise Lake is a beautiful body of water located in Wapnica, 5 kilometres from Międzyzdroje. It is one of the biggest attractions of the Wolin National Park. All because of its unusual colour.

This unusual turquoise colour comes from chalk deposits lying at the bottom. The lake was created in the area of a flooded mine of this raw material.

Thanks to the unusual courtesy of the Wolin National Park, we have the opportunity to dive in this body of water and contribute to cleaning it of the rubbish lying at the bottom. Everything will be done as part of the Clean up the World Poland campaign.

Unfortunately the number of divers is limited, but everyone is welcome to lend their support and help with the cleaning of the shoreline areas and the immediate vicinity of the lake.

We encourage everyone to mobilise themselves and loved ones and help clean up the area in the immediate vicinity of Turquoise Lake as part of the Saturday walk.

Team NoGravity will be fishing out what is hidden at the bottom of the lake. And we assure you that there is a lot of rubbish there.

During the clean-up there will also be educational workshops for children and young people and a demonstration of diving equipment. At the end of the clean-up we invite you to a common bonfire.

You can read more about the whole action here.
